​Pastor Mickey Johnson was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1957. His family moved to Decatur, Alabama in 1958. He has been in the Disciples of Christ all of his life. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Birmingham and is the owner of Tennessee Valley Press, Inc in Decatur, AL.

Brother Mickey has been married to his wife, Linda, for 39 years. They have two children, Lauren Thompson, and Drew Johnson.
Brother Mickey has served in the Disciples of Christ local church as a Deacon, Elder, Treasurer, Chairman of the Board, and many other committee chair positions, as well as on the Regional Finance Committee. He was ordained in 2015 and has served as a minister for over sixteen years in Disciples of Christ churches.

In his spare time, Brother Mickey enjoys camping and watching football. He loves taking vacations and sightseeing in new places. He also loves to cook and BBQ.
